Amsterdam brothels take city to court
Owners of Amsterdam brothels in the red light district are taking the city council to court over its decision to close a number of sex businesses and brothels in amsterdam.Amsterdam's mayor says the sex industry attracts criminality.
The council is demanding the closure of 33 brothels, which account for around a third of the district's sex businesses, by the end of the year.

Borat in Amsterdam
The character known as Borat arrived in the Red Light District of Amsterdam on Thursday (Oct.12th) to promote his film.He praised the city's freewheeling nightlife and defending his portrayal of the Central Asian country of Kazakhstan. Borat boasted of picking up a date at a popular bar the "Cockring", known as a gay meeting place.
"This woman reminded me of Kazakhi woman; she was more tall than me, with hair on arms, and some hair on face, and deep voice," he told the Dutch press.
