Amsterdam's Red Light District

There are many hotels in Amsterdam especially in the city center close to or in the Red Light District.

To help you select one I made a summery of good hotels in the area. These hotels are all within 5 minutes walking distance of the Red Light District.

Hotel Krasnapolsky (5 star)

NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky (468 rooms, 6 floors) is situated opposite the Royal Palace and next to the red light district. This is the heart of the old city centre. It is surrounded by department stores, boutiques, and shopping alleys. Numerous sights, museums, and theaters in the historic city center are within walking distance.

The Victoria Hotel Amsterdam is situated opposite the Central Station. This beautiful old building is a marvel of old Amsterdam architecture with an interesting carved-stone facade. There is a Seasons Garden Restaurant, a business center, beauty-parlor and the Active Club with sauna, Turkish Bath and swimmingpool. From this hotel you just cross the canal to walk into the Red Light District.

Hotel Luxer City Centre (3 star)

Hotel Luxer City Center is located in the Warmoesstraat which is part of the red light district. It is a small but popular hotel without a restaurant. However the Warmoesstraat is full of restaurants and you don't have to walk far to find one of your liking.

Hotel France (3 star)

The France Hotel is a modern, comfortable three star hotel, peacefully situated in the heart of Amsterdam.

The rooms are spread over four floors with a lift. They all have a bath or a shower, a toilet, colour television and telephone. Various rooms have a nice view on one of the canals of Amsterdam.

The France Hotel is so central that you can easily reach every tourist attraction by foot or with public transport. The Amsterdam Central Station is situated only 100 meters from the hotel as is the Red Light District.

For this hotel eight historic houses, dating from 1900 were linked together to create modern comforts. It is located in the historic district near Trade Exchange and the Red Light District.

This is not the Ritz, nor is it Ritz prices. But this is great value for money.
